With 20 games on the slate for college basketball on Saturday, the one to keep an eye on will feature #9 Oklahoma State visiting #15 Kansas.
583 Oklahoma State +5.5
584 Kansas -5.5
Marcus Smart was the preseason All-American pick that averages just shy of 20 points per game for the Cowboys. He also dishes out 4.2 assists per and gets an outstanding 2.5 steals.
Smart will be facing an equally talented Andrew Wiggins, who is among the top freshman in the nation. Wiggins averages just under 16 points per game. The Jayhawks also have freshman Joel Embiid, a legit 7-footer who is coming off a 16-point, 9-rebound effort in a win against #9 Iowa State.
This game has huge implications in the Big 12 and also for the top-25. The Jayhawks are 3-0 in league play and 12-4 overall. The Cowboys have already lost in the Big 12 and sit at 3-1, but they are an impressive 15-2 overall.
Another intriguing Big 12 matchup will be between #25 Oklahoma and #12 Baylor. The Baylor Bears are 13-3, but they’ve already lost twice in Big 12 play. And the Sooners are off to a 13-4 start, including a 2-2 record against conference opponents.
The Big 12 is going to have some exciting games on Saturday. So if you’re waiting for football to start on Sunday, at least you’ll have plenty to keep you busy during the day on Saturday.
