Warriors Riding 8-Game Win Streak, Next Up Wizards On The Road

Currently on a 8-game winning streak, the Golden State Warriors are one of the hottest teams in the NBA. After Andre Iguodala drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer against the Hawks on Friday night, the Warriors continued on their road-trip that includes huge wins over the Heat, Cavs and Magic.

A lot of the pre-season hype about the Warriors was around the due of Clay Thompson and Steph Curry. And while the Splash Bros are certainly major factors for this squad, it has been the help of Iguodala, Andrew Bogut, and David Lee that has really rounded out their team. The Warriors have no problem scoring points, as they’ve put up an average of over 103 on the season. But with the help of Iguodala, Bogut and Lee the Warriors are also averaging 46.5 rebounds per game, which is good enough for second best in the league.

The 8-game streak that the Warriors currently are on has been good enough to put them in the sixth spot in the West. At 22-13, they are tied with Houston and just a game behind the Clippers, who are in the fourth spot.

The road-trip isn’t over for the Warriors. They’ll pick it up again on Sunday in Washington against the Wizards, then head to Milwaukee and Brooklyn before finally getting back home on January 10th against the Celtics. But if they keep rolling like they have been as of late, you can expect them to further their push in the Western Conference, and be a young and talented team that will be a hard one to beat as they start to mesh together.
